Bullying- What's it all about? Our theme this week is bullying. We are going to explain and describe things about bullying, such as why bullying happens, why people bully, etc. People everywhere experience bullying at least once in their life. I hope you like what we have to say and see if you agree with us or not. I see bullying happening awfully a lot, and that needs to stop. Bullying is very bad in many ways because it hurts physically and it can hurt someone's feelings too. It’s wrong and no one should ever bully in life. Bullying usually happens because the person that is bullying is usually wanting attention. Also, if that person bullies another person, then that person might bully back just so they do not lose their reputation. Have you ever bullied? If so why? What good comes out of it? If you do bully, then you are wrong. Bullying is never good, it’s 100% bad. If you don’t bully then you are being smart and being a good person. I’m not saying they made a bad decision, but they are smart and they know better, and they just choose not to. Have you ever been bullied? I have many times. Many people have been bullied for random or silly reasons. When people bully, they’re pretty much judging how others are or how they look and that’s just wrong. Even if you're just messing around or you don’t mean it, it’s still just wrong. Thank you for hearing us and what we have to say. If you agree or disagree that’s up to you. But I hope you agree and I doubt you disagree. Just always remember, don’t bully because bullying is bad and always treat others the way you want to be treated. Comic Hi SAMS, it’s Noelani. This week I was assigned to make the comic. This week’s theme is Bullying. Bullying is a big problem. I drew 3 girls in this comic.
Two of them are being bullied and the other one is the bully. Jane and Carrie are enjoying a nice day in the park. Vanessa walks in and calls the two girls ugly.Carrie and Jane respond by crying, afraid to do anything... Until Jane gets angry and tells Vanessa “Just wait till you get to the gate of God!” Seventy years later, Vanessa is in Heaven and God is asking her why she bullied Carrie and Jane. It is never right to bully somebody. Even a remark like “You’re UGLY!!” can ruin someone's day. But, eventually, what you say or do will come back at you.

Diets: If you’re a bit older than middle school another way to lose weight would be to have a diet. People interpret diets as either, don’t eat as much or to stay away from certain foods. Starting the diet is pretty easy but the hard part is having cravings and maintaining the diet. The most used diet strategy would be avoiding fast food or anything that involves sugar. Some people also use powder proteins to help with losing weight and gain muscles. Working out: Working out is a major factor of living a healthy life. People who do work out try to work out daily.Try to get 3-4 hours of work out a week. That way you don’t over work yourself and so you also don’t get hurt while still helping your body. Simple workouts you can do that you can do is start walking/running, biking, swimming or just going to the gym. If you do live near a gym instead of taking your car, walk or ride a bike there. Comic- You are what you eat The topic for this week’s comic is healthy living. The title of this topic is “You are what you eat”, and is inspired by Cyanide and Happiness. It is important that you watch what you eat, and eat healthily. The phrase “you are what you eat” was made in 1826 by Anthelme Brillat-Savarin. Over the years the phrase has been changed, and is what it is today. This is based off of two friends, and how the phrase became true to them. Of course it’s not true in the way the comic exactly illustrates it, but you are just as healthy as the food you eat. This comic is about two friends named Bob and Steve, one obviously healthier than the other. They ask each other what they brought, Steve brought a fruit salad and Bob brought Mcdonald's. Steve told Bob that it’s not healthy, and you are what you eat. Little did he know what those words would do. Then out of nowhere, “poof”, and there was pink dust everywhere. They were coughing and as they opened their eyes, they were shocked and confused to what they saw. You really are what you eat. Reporter’s are the people that talk about what’s going on in school, writing, researching and reporting are of utmost importance. Photographers take pictures of things or people that are related to the topic. You might even see students pop into your class to “snap” and few photos of you. The events people decorate the bulletin board; check it out near the library. Spotlight people interview at least one teacher and one student who encompass the weeks theme.
