Welcome back to school SAS Trojans!Aloha Trojans! We are so extremely excited to be back at SAS with all of you, and have been having a blast meeting new friends. We are super excited to welcome Mr. Tim Cullen (Head of School), and Rana Boone (Principal) to the school 'Ohana this year. We are confident that this year will be a great one, and can't wait to see what's in store for us. This year we are putting a spin on SAMS Weekly, and are partnering with Mr. Yamashita's Digital Media to offer a news broadcast "TROJAN TV". Click the button below to watch the intro video! What's new to the school Year?1: What did you do over summer and was it fun? Sofia: I went to Japan with my cousins. In Japan, I went to Tokyo and held baby owls,then I went to the Cup Noodle factory and got to make my own cup Noodle. Avery:I played video games over the summer and it was fun. Ryan: I went to Junior lifeguard and it was okay. We did a lot of stuff and I went to states for Jr. lifeguard. Alysha-lei:I went to Washington, and went Universal Studios in Hollywood,California. It was a lot of fun going to Harry Potter world. Ari: I went to the beach with my friend, I also hung out with my friends a lot, and it was fun. Brody: I went to a basketball trip in Montana, and it was fun. 2.How is it being a 6th,7th or 8th grader so far? Sofia:It is hard being a 6th grader but it is fun at the same time. Avery:It is decent being a 6th grader. Ryan: It is pretty “g” being a 7th grader Alysha-lei:It is new being a 7th grader at St. Anthony’s, and I have to get use to being in 7th grade. Ari: It is pretty cool being a 8th grader because next year is high school. Brody: It is interesting. 3.How do you like being back at school? Sofia: I feel okay but I miss summer. Avery: It is fun and joyful being back at school. Ryan:I feel ok being back. Alysha: I like being back at school and seeing all my friends again. Ari: Good. Brody:I like being back at school because I like talking to my friends. 4.What is your favorite class and why? Sofia: Mr.C in P.E. because he is super fun. Avery: English with Mrs.smitherman because she lets us eat in class Ryan: English with Mrs. Smitherman because she makes things fun Alysha: My favorite class is English with Mr. AJ because it is fun and he is awesome. Ari: English with Mr. AJ because he is fun. Brody: Homeroom because we don’t have to do anything. 5.Are you guys going to be doing a after school sport or activity? Sofia: Maybe girls basketball and volleyball. Avery:I might be going to play boys basketball. Ryan: I am going to maybe do volleyball and cheer-leading Alysha:I will be doing girls volleyball and marching band. Ari:I maybe will be doing soccer. What is your name? And what grade are you in? Nathaniel: I am in 6 grade. Edward: I am in 8 grade. Mr. Alexander: I am a teacher. Do you have siblings? Edward: Yes, I have a sisters and a brother. Nathaniel: Yes, I have a sister. Mr.Alexander: Yes, I have a brother. Do you play sports? If yes, what sport? Edward: I play football. Nathaniel: I play baseball, basketball and he is starting football. Mr. Alexander: I play baseball. What is your favorite class here and why? Edward: My favorite class is P.E. Nathaniel: Mine is P.E because I like sports. Mr. Alexander: Mine is drama because I get to see the kids creative side. Do you like the lunch here? Edward: Yes, because it is good. Nathaniel: Yes, I likes the food. Mr. Alexander: I eat home lunch. What do you like best Home lunch or school lunch? Edward: Home lunch. Nathaniel: He also said home lunch. Mr. Alexander: He said home lunch. Do you like it here so far? Edward: Yes I do. Nathaniel: Yes I do. Mr. Alexander: Of course Do you like the uniforms? Edward: Yes I like the uniforms. Nathaniel: I also like because it is not weird. Mr. Alexander: I like the uniforms too. What is the best part of this school? Edward: Sports are the best part of this school. Nathaniel: I think the best part is fourth period. Mr.Alexander: The best part of this school is the students. What is the best part of homework? Edward: When we have no homework. Nathaniel: He also said when we don't have homework Mr. Alexander: It allows each individual to deepen their knowledge.
